if all of ur buildings r at 200k size, u'll earn less than a player who got 100k size buildings if u pay taxes properly. the reason is DMR and size tax. for DMR u earn less, but size tax doesnt care about how much u earn. u'll be charged high size tax for big buildings which earn less.

Not sure if that is true or not, but the key thing to remember is you don't really have to pay monthly taxes now if you are high ranked and not expanding. If you don't pay taxes, then for sure 200k buildings will outproduce and outsell 100k buildings.

i pay my taxes properly. i know what happens if i dont pay tax. but need to know more. if i dont pay taxes for a month, next month's taxes will replace that month's taxes? or it'll be added and if i pay then i'll have to pay 2 month's taxes?

Will replace old tax. But be immediately overdue instead of 2 weeks.

Actually, if you owe taxes for last month, the taxes due this month will be the higher of what you owe this month and what you owed last month.

You never have to pay more than one month of taxes, but the amount due will be that of the highest tax bill you had that was unpaid.

This reduces the ability of players to play tricks with income management approaches to be able to minimize taxes and get a low tax bill to replace a high one.

About the making less money when u expand ur building, simple expanation here:

I grow till i get to just below the level increase in score.
I expand 1 more time, and my levelreduction kicks in, reducing my production with 2-3 % for the WHOLE building, not just the 100 ft2 i'm expanding, so for instance:
I have a building at 75.000 ft2 which produces something like 98.500 corn a day.
I expand it, so it will produce 100.000 corn a day, but due to the level increase it will drop with 2%, so i'll end up with 98.000 corn a day, 500 less than before i expanded.
At higher levels/DMR/size the differences become larger.

Good point. Yes, with level efficiency reductions, it does not make much sense to just level up a little bit. If you are going to level up, do it in a major way and expand a lot all at once. Do not cross the level threshold slightly, or you could actually see total productivity decline as a result of expanding buildings.

I'm new player here.

I have no idea how taxes are calculated but if we take solely on building size and DMR, the most optimum return is 33,300sq feet2.

You can try using a 33300 sq ft2 production vs any other...

For easy calculation, each sq ft produce 1 unit. 100 sq ft produce 100 units.
eg.

100sq produce 100 units.
200sq produce 200*0.997= 199.4 units
1000sq produce 1000*0.997^9= 973.3 units
20000sq produce 20,000*0.997^199= 10999.34 units (Increasing)
33300sq produce 33,300*0.997^332= 12281.09 units (Peak value)
50000sq produce 50,000*0.997^499= 11164.88 units (Getting Lower)

You can try with any number and I'd even put in if after 65,000 sq ft, the reduction is 0.999, the figure still getting smaller, not higher.

Don't forget your level reduction.

This is wrong.
And as a premise is wrong, the conclusion is too.

Hi,

Why do you see it as wrong?

And what is the right equation?

Example: Suppose a 100ft2 farm makes 1000 grain in a day.
You expand it to 200ft2. Now it makes 1997 grain per day. (Second level = 1000 * 99.7%.)
You expand it to 300ft2. Now it makes 2991.009 grain per day. (Third level = 997 * 99.7%.)

this is not 100*lvl*0,997^(lvl-1)

the following formula is correct for lower levels where dmr=0,997:
efficiency = (dmr^lvl-1)/(dmr-1)

BUT:

70kft2-250kft2 are .999/100ft2
250kft2- ____ is no additional DMR.

Be also aware that "base rate" of factories in PHIL is rounded

Thanks for the info.

Computing using the 0.999 DMR from 70k and no DMR from 250k onwards, it takes more than 2M sq ft2 to be as effective as a 33.3k sq ft2.

Unless I'm wrong with my calculation.
