I'm currently in the World Trade Union, and I must admit, I'm not sure what the point is yet. There's no standardized pricing like IMU and other older trade groups had. There's no community of aligned companies working together either. The only features I'm aware of is the shout box which is rarely used, and the recent logins which is kind of nice I guess.

Is this just because of World Trade Union, or are other trade groups like this too? What do people currently use trade groups for?

We have our Chat Room over Skype. It helps alot in terms of communication and coordination over all stuffs. Moreover a real quick solution for all stuff. Aside of that in terms of pricing we follow IMU pricing only
